Nominaciones a los Globos de Oro 2018: Guillermo del Toro y ‘The Shape of Water’, arrasan

Todo parece indicar que la 75° gala de los premios de la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood, ha encontrado a su trabajo favorito en la categoría de Mejor Película (Drama) -recordemos que estos premios dividen a sus nominados en categoría dramática y comedia o musical-, en la cinta realizada por el director tapatío Guillermo del Toro; The Shape of Water se perfila así como la favorita a vencer en dicha categoría.
El fantástico drama de del Toro logró también nominaciones también en los apartados de mejor actriz (Drama), mejor actriz y actor de reparto, guión, banda sonora y por supuesto, director.
El resto de contendientes en la categoría de mejor película de drama incluye The Post de Steven Spielberg, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri de Martin McDonagh, Dunkerque de Christopher Nolan y Call Me By Your Name de Luca Guadagnino. Mientras que en en el apartado de comedia o musical se encuentran compitiendo Get Out, The Greatest Showman, Lady Bird, The Disaster Artist y I, Tonya.
Por su parte, el talento latino hace presencia en la categoría de mejor filme extranjero con Una Mujer Fantástica de Sebastián Lelio. Su rival más fuerte es la sueca The Sqauare de Robert Östlund y ganadora de la Palma de Oro en el Festival de Cannes. La terna la completan In The Fade de Alemania, Loveless de Rusia y First They Killed My Father de Camboya.
El fenómeno mundial Coco es la favorita para llevarse al premio a la mejor película de animación.
A pesar de no tener muchas sorpresas, cabe destacar la aparición de los nombres de Riddley Scott y Christopher Plummer entre los nominados de sus respectivas categorías, después de los problemas recientes en el rodaje de All The Money In The World tras destaparse el caso de Kevin Spacey.
